Account Deletion

If you no longer wish to use Love Story, you may permanently delete your account and all associated personal data directly from the app. Please take a few minutes to review how deletion works, what data is removed, and what limited information may be retained.

1. How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your account at any time by following these steps:

• Open the Love Story app on your device
• Go to Settings (tap your profile, then the gear icon)
• Scroll down and tap Delete Account
• Confirm the deletion when prompted

Once confirmed, your account and data will be deleted immediately.

2. Data That Is Deleted

The following data is permanently deleted when you delete your account:

• Your profile information, including your name, email, photos, bio, and personal details
• Matches and matching history
• Chat and message notifications
• Questionnaire responses and Q&A data
• Favorite categories and content preferences
• Video likes and post reactions
• Filters and search preferences
• Subscription and payment method records
• Stripe customer and connected payment accounts
• Device tokens and push notification registrations
• All active sessions and login tokens
• Notification history

3. Data That May Be Retained

In limited circumstances, a small amount of data may be retained after deletion:

• Community Posts: Posts you created may remain visible, but they will be fully disassociated from your account. Your name and identity will be removed to preserve the integrity of community discussions for other users.
• Transaction Records: Anonymized financial transaction logs may be retained for up to 7 years, as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.

4. Retention Period

Account deletion is processed immediately. There is no waiting period or grace period. Once deletion is confirmed, it is permanent and cannot be undone.

Any anonymized transaction records retained for legal compliance are automatically purged after the applicable retention period expires.

Deleting your account will permanently remove your access to Love Story and erase the personal data associated with your profile, subject only to the limited retention described above.
